Advertising is quickly shifting and has become an interesting landscape for creative minds to flow and design stimulating campaigns for businesses, products and services. These are some of our favorites from the recent past.
- Dove’s Real Beauty Campaign
Dove has really outdone itself with this campaign with a focus on what makes regular people like you and I beautiful. It’s a confidence booster and provides a new and refreshing look on beauty in a world of makeup, fake lashes and hair extensions.
- Coca-Cola’s Small World Campaign
Coca-Cola launched an advertising campaign that brought together two fighting nations’ citizens. Brothers and sisters of the same ancestry had divided by a man made line between India and Pakistan until Coca-Cola launched a campaign involving a vending machine with a camera attached to it in India and Pakistan. Both nations’ members must complete tasks with one another in order to unlock a soda. Genius!
- Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential Campaign
Democrat, Republican or non-partisan, Obama’s 2008 Presidential campaign was a campaign of wonders. Barack Obama began his journey as a one-term Senator with below 10% name recognition. With the help of social media, his campaign racked over 20 million YouTube views and 2.5 million Facebook fans as opposed to his competition, John McCain’s, page with only 625,000 Facebook fans.
- Dos Equis’ Most Interesting Man in the World Campaign
Dos Equis introduced the most interesting man in the world in 2006, and his adverts have been a hit since. Dos Equis has seen a sales increase of 22% in the United States due to the campaign while other beers’ sales dropped by 4%. We would call that a success!
- Thai Health Promotion Foundation Campaign
This campaign deserves a standing ovation for being more than an anti-smoking campaign, but it reminds us that we all matter too. This anti-smoking campaign has gone viral with over 3.1 million views. See for yourself above.
These are some of our absolute favorite campaigns throughout the years. Do you have any campaigns that come into mind? If so, share them with us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/bluetreedigital or on Twitter @BlueTreeDigital!
